Why do you need it?

This great Heavy Duty Hydraulic Forklift Bucket is a very handy implement for lifting, moving and loading and tipping awkward bulk and heavy items instead of struggling yourself and possibly putting yourself or others in danger of injury.
These Hydraulic Forklift Buckets can also be used as a shovel with a heavy gauge tapered blade for scrapping and driving into biomass, soil, gravel, sand, hay, saw-dust etc.

Questions and answers about this item.

1. Can you tell us the range of movement i.e. does the bucket tip back as well as forward and if so, by how much?

Yes, the bucket as in the photos will tip both directions.

All our hydraulic forklift buckets include a 10 ton 700mm stroke hydraulic ram and when this ram is half open, the bucket is level on the ground (as in most of the photos) and this means the bucket will tilt either way the same distance/measurement. When the ram is fully open the bucket will be in the emptying position (full tipped) and when the ram is retracted (closed) the bucket will be in carrying position (fully crowned).

2. We would be fitting this to a forklift - how many hydraulic connections does it need?

The ram on the bucket is a two-port ram as in the photos. And this means there is a flow and return hose (one of each, so two hoses in total).

If you have a 4th service (lever) on your forklift you can work it that way but generally forklifts have 3 services (levers) with the 3rd lever being for the side shift and you can simply put quick release couplings on the side shift ram's feeder pipes and that way you can quickly interchange between controlling the bucket when it's fitted or controlling the side shift when you have the bucket removed.

3. What kind of metal thickness is the bucket made from?

The buckets for the main part is made from 3/4mm steel plate depending on the bucket size and all the buckets have 10mm straps down either side and underneath as well as a 12mm hardened steel tapered blade on the front (Can be seen in the photos.)

The 5ft+ buckets will also come with a centre spine for extra strength on the inside as in some of the photos.

The hinging brackets from the chassis to the bucket are 15mm and 30mm pins along with the ram connect the bucket to the chassis.

4. Do you have anything of this kind of size in stock?

Yes, all sizes are in stock and sitting undercoated ready for topcoat colour selection and dispatch.

5. Do you have any examples we could see?

We have sold in excess of 100 of these buckets to date.
