What is it & What is it for?

The Post Cap system is used by many manufacturers like ourselves for the safety of the end user / operator.

This New improved design is suitable as a replacement or as a spare for our Previous Post Caps on all our Multec Post Drivers
The Multec Post Cap holds the wooden Fence Post / Strainer securely for the hammer to drive it while keeping the operator safe from danger or injury.

The Post Cap has been fitted with two sliders (one on each side) to fit on to the mast (8×4 RHS / I-Beam) while allowing the mast free movement through the Post Cap & therefore it remains on the Post/Strainer while the hammer is raised with the mast & dropped at speed on to the rubber side of the Post Cap.

5no. x spikes have been welded in a diamond shape to the under side of the Post Cap to hold the wooden Post / Strainer even more securely improving overall safety and operation.

Impact resistant rubber is cut, drilled and fitted to the upper side of the Post Cap between the hammer & cap to prevent noise during operation and to prevent steel on steel wear / damage.

Additional User Instructions:

When the Post Cap is lowered down on to the fence post, unhook both chains separating the Post cap from the hammer & let the Post cap sit on top of the post.

The hammer then can be raised & dropped at speed hitting the rubber side of the post cap which will in turn drive the post into the ground.

When the fence post is driven enough, you lower the hammer on to the cap & hook both chains back on & slowly raise the hammer which will remove the post cap from the fence post.

Do not raise or drop the post cap at speed when hooked on to the hammer as this can cause damage to both the Post cap & the main Post Driver mast.

Please Note (For Rock Spike Models only): The Post Cap is not to be used with the rock spike, when using the rock spike, please remove the post cap & let the hammer hit the rock spike directly.
